Used this today after about 6the months of it sitting dormant. MAN DOES THIS THING HATE WHISKERS! I am glad I revisited this razor now that I am not so heavy handed as I was when I started out. The heft alone is more than enough to power through my beard and I got a MUCH better shave than my last attempt with this. Officially rotating razors now (with the 58 TV special ).

That HD style Rocket is a great shaving machine. I think there are about 9 of them over a 40 gram or so spread from about 29 to 71 grams. All great shaves.....Congrats!!
Thats a good rotation you have, Tv special is a good Super too, and your like me a Face Latherer, it really makes your shaving super speed fast since your eliminating the bowl. THANKS FOR SERVING IN MILTARY
My English HD Rocket is currently my favourite razor. Today it cleared 5 days worth of beard in 2 passes with a Gillette 7 O'Clock Green (Russian), DFS

I'm definitely a fan of the HD. I have a '53-'53 in my current rotation, along with a 1955 SS red-tip, a 1961 Fat Boy, and a '46-'47 Aristocrat (rhodium replate). All work wonderfully well, yet all are quite different.
