Brick and Mortor Retailers in Michigan?

Anyone know of any classic shaving stores in Michigan? I tried to do a google search, but it didn't seem to yield any results. There are some products, that one might want to see before buying.

Where are you located? There are not really any stores that exclusively carry DE shaving stuff. There is a shop in the Nichols Arcade in Ann Arbor that has Trumper and some Merkur stuff, some of the big box retailers like Neiman Marcus carry T&H. But an actual store like Classic Shaving's line? No.

Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Flint area. Detroit is about a two hour drive for me.

I saw there is a Crabtree and Evelyn in Auburn Hills, which might be useful at some point in the future.

Where about? I'm a bit south of Flint myself, so I might be able to help.

It's at Baldwin Road. It's an outlet, and part of Great Lakes Crossing.

I am a newbie, and pretty much set for the moment in terms of products C and E sells. (I have VDH deluxe, and Proraso Green, so I am set for the moment in terms of soap/ cream)

I was only asking the question initially, because if I ever decide to purchase a new Merkur for example, it might be something I would want to hold in my hand, in order to judge handle length, and overall heft prior to buying it.

It might be nice to have a local supplier for blades, instead of online ordering them all of the time as well.

My blog has a set of links about halfway down the right side of the page labelled "Bricks and Mortar Product Locators" that might help.

No, I meant where are you at, silly. I know where Great Lakes Crossing is. You'd have to be blind not to know where it is if you've ever have traveled I-75!

haha...

I am currently located in Bay City.

I believe the Bay City Mall has a Bath & Body Works. So getting a hold of some C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream, re-branded Proraso, shouldn't be a problem. They also have an outlet out at Birch Run. Not sure what they carry at the outlet, since I haven't been out there in a while, but might be a good way to get shaving cream and after-shave cheap. And I think you have a Macy's out there near Saginaw. They should carry Art of Shaving. I have tried any of AoS's stuff... yet... but you should be able to snag of samples there I believe. I anything else come to mind, I'll let you know!

I hit up the Bath and Body Works last night to take advantage of the 2 for 1 sale. Got two of the smaller C.O. Bigelow Shaving Creams for a mere $5.30 cents. Tried it for the first time this morning, and it is amazing stuff!!

There is certainly a Macy's in Saginaw. Might see what they have for brushes.
