Breaking in a Tweezerman

The Tweezerman is a nice little brush and the price is right but is there a way to break it in other than to just use the hell out of it?

I've been using a Tweezerman off and on for about 6 months I really like it, it does get softer and is an excellent brush for the price, it is a bit scruffy but I like that, don't give up on it.

I used the dawn soap and lather it up and leave it over night method. It did soften up the brush and got rid of the new badger stink. I really like the little brush and I am very happy I bought it. Good luck. :thumbup1:

Thank you for all the replies. Here is what I did. I soaked it in the blue dawn for several hours last night while I did work around the house, water the lawn etc. I then washed the soap out and shook it dry.
I then made a lather with Castle Forbes Lavender, made a nice loft of lather on the Tweezerman brush and let it sit over night until I got up this morning.
The lather was gone and there was a little dry foam in the brush. I then washed it out, soaked it in warm water and used it to shave this morning.
It did soften the brush up a lot but what I have noticed with the badger knot the Tweezerman comes with is that it seems there is in the center of the knot a rock solid area coming up through the middle that my other 3 brushes dont have. Does that make any sense to anyone out there?

That helps spread the bristles out and helps the brush hold more water. You see that on a lot of cheaper brushes.

I washed mine with dish soap and hot water in a bowl then rinced it and coated it with hair conditioner and let it set over nite then I rinsed it out and put it to work.

I use it most of the times.
