Brand new DE razor and brush for $3!

Just got back from the mall and I got a Dorco DE razor w/ 2 blades and a boar brush. $1.50 ea!

Meh...I just shaved with the new gear and its okay. I got a near BBS shave, but it wasn't fun or enjoyable. It felt like I was shaving with a disposable BIC.

I think the Bic like feel is likely due to a lack of heft in the Dorco, being made entirely of plastic.

The Dorco is very light indeed but it still shaves like a DE (concerning angles etc). In that respect I like it better than the much heavier Wilkinson Classic because that really shaves like a 1-blade cartridge.

I agree with you that it is not an enjoyable shaver; but when my kids want a fake shave it comes in handy.

I used the brush and....it worked....barely.

Didnt hold much water, very stiff so it loaded soap well, tips were scratchy as heck! It even hurt my skin, I think one of the hairs actually stabbed my face and penetrated! I threw it away immediately.

It did get me interested in a quality boar brush. I think I am gonna pick up an omega.
