A little while back someone was showing off a brush and the lather they made. In that picture they had a bowl that had the edges rolled over that seemed to keep all the lather down in the bowl while working it up. Does anyone know where I could find one or have a picture of one?
I recently bought this one on eBay. Probably overpaid, but I like it. It's easy to scoop all the lather out with the brush. I was curious about the Mohawk brand, but didn't find much on it.
I'm having one made, sort of a smaller "Bill's Bowl" at a local potters. Probably a search for potters in your area would get you just what you want. I bought one close to what I want for only $3 at a local neighborhood show. The inside is glazed, but not "glassy" (don't know the proper term) and is just rough enough to help build great lather, edge rolled in and fits my hand just right. I gave it to the potter for an example, and he picked up on what I needed immediately
I had Julie at DB make a custom size (smaller) version of her Bill Bowl. It is quite satisfactory. The Bill Bowl design has the inverted sides which help keep the lather in the bowl instead of climbing over the sides.
