My bottle of Blue Label has finally been put down. I would guess I've had it for about 5 years during which I only shared with family and very close friends. It was an excellent bottle of whisky and will be sadly missed. A brief moment of silence would be appreciated by all...

A fine Scotch. Look for a special occasion to give you an excuse for bottle #2.

I have one at home and although a very good whisky, is not within my favourites, at least not for that sort of money...but I would like to give you my condolences, every bottle hurts....

I would agree. While it is an excellent whisky there are others that are as good as better especially at that price range. The Gold Label is very good and would probably be my next JW purchase when the time comes.

Time to play taps and bury that dead solidier.

I've never finished a bottle, I have one at home that is unopened. It replaces one I gave to a fellow who came from out of state to hang out and had his car stolen for his trouble. He'd earned it, but i wanted to cry when I found out he downed the bottle in a day of depression...(sigh).
