I've been having a blast with my Futur since it arrived last week despite cutting myself so badly last Thursday that this morning the first thing out of my paralegal's mouth was, "what'd you do, cut yourself shaving?" She takes great pride in pointing out my rare shaving accidents. I've been curious about the R41 ever since I learned what an R41 is, but I was bit fearful. I ordered one today from Jarrod at The Superior Shave. I also ordered an alum bar and Proraso preshave cream. Oh, and somehow a large tub of Trumper coconut accidentally fell in my shopping cart.

I know what you mean about items "falling" into your shopping cart...happens to me all the time

I think the Futur's more dangerous. Oh, and don't worry. I'm sure you've learned some respect and technique from the Futur. I know when I got my R41 "why does it get resold so much?" was among my first thoughts.

I switched from the Futur to the R41 myself. I think having to handle the very hefty Futur actually helped my technique a TON, so moving to the R41 was a breeze. It's now my regular shaver and I'm amazed after every shave. Have fun!

I also switched from my Futur to the r41, and I will never go back to the Futur! Love my r41.

I plan on sticking with it till I pick it up properly, I haven't cut myself in months and months, I definately feel like I'm ready

I'll let you know how the first shave goes. Hopefully it'll be in my hands tomorrow or the next day. I think I'm eventually on my way to straights, but I needed some more practice with agressive DE's. I have a Feather Artist Club that I haven't yet tamed. Can't wait to try the R41!
