What's new

body shop, CE, etc ...

i went around some stores today. visited body shop, crabtree & evelyn and a barber's. I was looking at the body shop shave cream for $11 (if i remember correctly) canadian. has anybody used this and what are your thoughts on it? also i was looking at some CE shave soaps, sienna, sandalwood, and nomad. these are prices at $25 with teakwood bowl and $10 for refill. I would like you input on these as well. the other thing i came across at the barber's was an american crew shave cream, prices $16. out of all of these what would you suggest? i was also looking at a body shop shave oil, does this improve the shave and is it worth it at $10 for a small bottle. and has anybody come across the real shaving co. shave cream? i found this priced down to $3.99 at shoppers. i figured i should give it a try at such a low price, but maybe it isn't worth it. has anybody come across this shave cream?

thank you.

Body Shop discussion going on right here. Although relatively inexpensive, I rate Body Shop right up there with the best...YMMV. The scent is hit or miss with some folks but I love it. To me it smells kinda dirty, earthy, organic, green,....etc. For me, it performs at the same level as the other more expensive creams I own including Penhaligon's, AOS, and SMN. For some reason, I just get great shaves with it :w00t: My suggestion would be to stop by the Body Shop and smell it....if you like the smell give it a shot. $10/tube isn't that bad.

The Body Shop cream is a wonderful shaving cream, to be sure. To me it smells really girly, but the shave I get is wonderful, so I put up with it.

It's one of the best "creams" on the market .

It's no Tabac , DR Harris , Mitchell's Wool Fat or even Proraso . Just to name a few . These products I feel provide a superior shave .
