Blue Blades (should I use them)?

I have acquired a still sealed pack of Gillette blue blades, and a couple of boxes with one new blade each in them. One box also has a sample stainless steel blade in it.

Should I try using these blades or do they have a "vintage value" that would suggest I keep them sealed and new for their collectible interest?

Unless you are really hard up for blades, I would keep them as collectors items. They won't shave any better than current production blades.

I would not use them. These are old blades. They are carbon steel and can rust. You can always look at the edges with a loupe for rust or jagged edges. But it's really not worth it.
