"Blonde in a Red Dress" Restore

Awhile back I inquired about doing a "reverse" restore. It seems most here take an old handle and put a new knot in it. I had a brush in which I liked the natural blonde (don't we all?) bristle knot but didn't like the cheap wood handle. After some searching and lurking in this subforum I ordered an empty Sabi Windsor handle in wine/maroon. I drilled out the hole some for a deeper set. The knot is not quite as white as the flash renders. I think the "new" brush pairs up well with the '56 Red Tip. The project was simple but fun! Hmmmm, what should I create next???

Thanks! The color is fairly close. I think I favor staying with original/vintage than painting it to match the handle. I actually looked for a red handle but this "wine" Sabi handle was the closest I could find. I painted that red tip based on the "original color" recommendations here in the forum. I guess the closest paint color to original is Krylon "International Harvester Red" or other brands. It is not a true red, a little darker red but not quire maroon.
