Blob in soap?

Can anyone tell me what that blob at the top might be? It does not seem to go away or load with the rest of the puck. It seems it does not affect anything, the soap works just fine.

I can't be sure from just this picture, but I suspect it's part of an alien invasion. Whatever you do don't eat it.

If it's an "artisan" soap, it's probably ingredients that are not mixed well enough. So not artisan in my eyes.

But to be honest, I don't know what I'm looking at.

Maybe a chunk of stearic acid (which is basically fat)? Just a guess.

I don't think it is an issue, the soap is almost gone anyway. I didn't name them on purpose, I'm just curious.

I agree that it’s probably not an issue, but I’d still contact them just to let them know. Maybe there’s some QA/QI they can get from knowing it left the shop like that.

Contact them and show them. They should be mixed better if it's made by or branded as artisan.

Sometimes(not in this case) I transfer soap between containers, i.e. when a soap comes in a small / not practical tub. the Stirling tub is quite good

From someone that uses Stirling soaps regularly, there's enough soap in that jar for probably 40+ shaves for me!!

Looks to me like a piece of added soap. Kind of like they didn’t have enough in the tub to begin with and added a little bit more to bring it up to weight and it just never integrated with the rest

I have scooped that bit out, it looked like fat, but I am no expert (not even novice) in soapmaking.
Here's how the soap looks like after distributing it evenly in the tub with the tea spoon. I do this every now and then with all soaps. Ready for the shave tomorrow. #ocd
