Blade Recommendations

That was my biggest problem right now, I don't need any other shaving supplies If I was ordering cream, AS, etc I would just throw some blades on the order and be good to go. I couldn't believe it when the cheapest option to ship was almost $6 at the few places I looked. Thankfully I got a very generous offer from @cw62803. He is going to send me along some blades to try out. I am looking forward to giving the razor a try, as well as some different blades.

I get consistently good results in vintage Gillette razors with Polsilver Super Iridium and Personna Labs.

You want good blades?
Well apart from astra s.p,personna platinum or feather you can check these quality blades:
Viking's sword(made by personna)
Royal platinum(made by personna)
Q ball paltinum(the same as crystal a.k.a Israelli Personna's)
And last but not least the Tomy blades...

Congratulations on the razor!

Blades are very much YMMV. For me Derbys are somewhat below average. My top blades in no particular order: GSB, Nacet, Astra SP, Personna reds, and Personna labs. Have fun!

My best reccomendation is to check out Tryablade.com and get 1 or 2 of their most popular blades. Their top 10 is listed right on the home page. Odds are, one of those will become your favorite. I've not tried all 10 of them, but my top 6 favorite blades are on that list.
