Blade Disposal Slot on Current Packs of Feathers

Does anyone use them? I'm traveling with a DE this week, and plan to dispose of the blade in that slot before packing the kit up for the return trip. Does this seem reasonable?

Seems perfectly reasonable UNLESS TRAVELING BY AIR and you have the pack in carry-on. By car? No reason not to.

Yes, I use it at home and when traveling. If you're staying in a hotel, the housekeeping staff will be very happy that you don't put exposed DE blades in their wastebaskets. They're not accustomed to people doing that and you don't want to be responsible for someone getting cut, even if it's not really your fault.

...in fact, the same applies if you're staying anywhere where the people who you're around aren't accustomed to exposed blades in their bathroom wastebaskets. :001_smile

Thanks, I'm checking bags so as not to worry about TSA concerns. I also did not want to put housekeeping staff at risk. Most people look at me cross-eyed when I mention a DE, so they probably don't see them much.

Yes, I use mine. They can actually fit a large amount of blades, too--far more than just the blades that came in the pack itself.

for clueing me in as to what to do with used blades.

I was just throwing them in the trash.

I put all my old blades in an Altoids mint tin. Then the tin and blades can go into the ferrous metals recycling together.
