What's new

BяotHEяhood of MotheяlдИd Stядight ядzor!

So if you’ve ever gone through the struggle of honing these beyond the point any reasonable & unknowing person would’ve given up, you know the quality I’m talking about. I didn’t see one so I guess I’m starting a Kommie straight razor brotherhood. If one exists, feel free to remove this- I figure it’s time to show off what the other side of the iron curtain had to offer the world in terms of facial cutlery. I’ll start!

This one took 10 hours of honing altogether- it took forever to get the chips out of this steel, and get an even bevel across the length of the blade. Once she was finished, it gave me my FIRST DFS I’ve ever had- and I’ve been learning the straight razor for 2 months! This was my first success! So, I named this one Natasha and pondered the possibility of obtaining a 7-day kommie set. Hopefully some with Swedish Steel!
If you’ve got them, post ‘em!
