Binoculars overboard

:cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:
My trusty Zeiss compact 10x40s now reside in Davy Jones' locker.

I am lost without "glasses." My back up Cabela's are not so great.

I am looking at the Swarovski line now, but am open (really open) to suggestions from the B&B brethren.

you are not messing around! I have a set of Steiners that work fine but I imagine your Zeiss are even more amazing. What about Leica? I have heard nothing but great things about their glass and ranging products. Not sure if they fit in the budget :X

In the past year I have replaced my Swarovski binoculars with Vortex Razor HD's, and my Nikon EDG spotting scope with a Meopta. I am getting as good if not better quality for less than half the price on each. I hunt at least 50 days a year, so I do plenty of investigation before I buy. FYI- I can safely say that Vortex has the BEST warranty in the business.

If money is no object, Leica. They are the best I have used, hands down. If you want a more realistic price point, Nikon's Monarch range are very good value for money.

Neckstraps aren't there for decoration........

I didn't drop them overboard! I wasn't even on the boat.
:mad3:
I could look at the bright side and say it was time for an upgrade, but for the last 14 years I was very happy with the Zeiss.
