Better with Feather as the week goes on

Pretty new at this but have been using Feathers for a month or so. I find that I get better shaves on days 3-6. Haven't pushed it farther. Is this an indication that Feathers are just too sharp for my sensitive face?

What's your normal shave routine? Type of prep?

How many passes?

Type of razor?

Soap or cream?

Aftershave or balm?

As you can see, there are different variables that can be the cause of sensitivity besides the blades; w/ more info, we can help u narrow down the culprit.

Without the input from Marty's questions... You might want to try corking or palm stropping your blade before first use. Some here swear by these pre-use routines.

I had the same experience with Feathers when I tried them. I find they are just too sharp for my face, but could get a reasonable shave on day 3 or 4. After trying a blade sampler, I settled on Derbies which give me great shaves from the start.

I have got Derbies and they suck. "Derbies for abroad" is better. I think it is all about "vertical vs. horizontal" type matter.

I originally found myself in a similar situation to OP, however, it was my prep that was letting me down. Once I revisited my lather I found feathers to be super sharp and efficient.
