Quiet night, time to shave, after 5 days of stubble. Nothing was really different - same brush, sane lather bowl, same razor, same blade (Gillette SB, second shave). Speick cream.
Fabulous lather, slick, rich, cushiony. After my usual first two passes, I was 80% towards a totally smooth shave, so I did another full pass, not a touch-up, and it worked: BBS.
One little problem: above my adam's apple, I made small patch of raw skin, what I think would be a weeper if it grew up. No broken skin, just a patch of irritation. My alum block and then Speick Aftershave took care of it and made my whole face feel fresh and alive. The aftershave doesn't fade, but it combines with the cream into a really pleasant aroma that sticks around.
