Best moisturizing cream

A friend gave me some Art of Shaving sandalwood cream to try. Have been using it all week.
Love the scent and lather I get from it but it seems to dry my skin out. Looking for another cream to try that moisturizes better then the art of shaving one.
This is the only cream I have tried.

Kiss My Face Moisture Shave. Inexpensive, VERY easy to lather, readily available in health food and vitamin stores, can be used with or without a brush, and no parabens, SLS, etc. It even has "moisture" in the name :tongue_sm. My favorite is the Cool Mint scent for its cooling effect in the summer.

Thanks for the recommendations. I honestly did not know there were so many choices out there.

Another question- any sample packs/packages that retailers put together?

RazRock King Louis and RazoRock 888 both have Shea Butter and Lanolin, QCS also produces shave cream with great moisturizing properties. I will be honest as say that I am not sure how much true benefit one gets from the lather when it is on your skin for such a short time. I do use these products but I depend more on what Post Shave products I use in terms of Aftershave Balms, lotions, creams, or wax to provide my skin with moisturizing benefits. My post shave routine is rinse, Alum Block rub, wait a few minutes then cold water rinse again and pat semi dry with towel. Apply Post Shave Cream such as 3P or Prep, let dry then I apply my after shave lotion or balm on top. This has really worked great for keeping my skin feeling moisturized. I find the RazoRock Aftershave Wax provides one of the best all day moisturizing feeling of any product I have.

Taconic Shave Tequila Lime is, by FAR, the most moisturizing shave cream or soap I have ever used.

Better than AOS, MWF, Proraso Red, Spencer & Devon, etc. It's the best cream or soap - in all respects - I've ever used. It comes in a small jar, but a tiny amount goes a long way. It is also quite inexpensive.

As to the post doubting whether a cream can actually moisturize one's skin - IT CAN. I also use post -shave products, but my face is BBS and soft with Taconic Shave.

Every cream, soap, gel... will dry your skin to some extent. They all contain surfactants that emulsify skin oils. Many products conatin some ingredients that try to counteract this, to a certain degree. Some do better than others, but there is always some drying of the skin. I choose creams/ soaps based on its performance during the shave, i.e. lathering, cushioning, slickness without being too concerned about drying of my skin. This is taken care of by using some good cream or balm afterwards.

The more I try soaps and creams, and the more research I do, the more I agree with this. Moisturizing is done after the shower, shave, etc.

I find AOS completely moisturizing. Though the unscented seems to moisturize a bit more than the sandalwood for me.

ADP/XXX is easily the best for me, though. I rub all the leftover from the brush on my face to sit while I finish showering.

Gosh, I had found the AOS sandalwood cream to be very moisturizing. Guess this is case of YMMV.
My vote for other shave creams with moisturizing, would be Speick, Proraso (any flavor), Palmolive classic (!!!).
I would also concur with emphasizing post shave for moisturizing...I like institut karite balm.
