Best blades....in my somewhat limited opinion

Alwright.....I'm no expert. Only been DE shaving for...almost a month.

I've been going through my sample blade pack....usually trying each one for a minimum of three days each. The sample pack, plus the extras I bought total about 7-8 different makes.

I've now tried them all and my three favored razor blades are, in no particular order:



Gillette 7’O’clock (Red Box)

Wilkinson Sword

Feather

I haven't even heard of the 7 o'clock red box blades, but I've got some samples of the SharpEdge yellow and Super Platinum black varieties to try out (might be a couple of weeks yet).

I found the Wilkinson Swords to be just fine for me, if not great...in the white pack from Germany, that is. The Walmart version didn't work out too well in my HD.

I quite liked the Feather too, and the Astra SP, but my favorites so far have been the Medical Personna and the Gillette Bleue Extra. I've just begun trying out the latter, and had my second superb experience with it this morning.

I haven't tried the greens yet, but the yellows and blacks are great. Yellows are nice and sharp, and can be had for a really good price.
I had to order the blacks form India to get a decent price, but they are a VERY smooth and sharp blade, maybe my favorite!

I'm pretty excited about Gillettes in general, now that the Bleue Extra has treated me so well. The greens seem to get a little less love, from what I've read, but they seem well-regarded too.
