dr. bronner's bar soap is an incredible soap. I use it for face washing, shampooing my hair, shaving my face, and a body soap. This amazing soap can do it all. I tried it recently as a shaving soap and shampoo and it works wonderfully. I like the peppermint the best. The best thing about this soap is it is all organic oils.

Very good stuff. I also use the liquid daily as part of the shave prep. Tried nearly all of the scents and it's hard to pick a favorite-lavender maybe, or citrus but it's hard to go wrong with any of them.
Thanks for the advice. I've been looking for a way to minimalize my shower routine and this sounds like a worthwhile try.

no problem. this soap will save you a lot of money. it does everything as I have said. there are different scents but the peppermint seems to be the most popular for men and women. I got sick and tired of buying shampoos and shaving cream and face washes, and found out about dr. bronners soap a while ago and numerous people saying this soap works very well for an all over soap, so I tried it and it has been great.
Kirk's Castile is pretty good soap, too.
I just tried some Speick bar soap. I really like it for showers. It doesn't get all soft and bubbly. Works great. I'll get it again.
My favorite is the Trader Joe's Triple Milled, in either the Lemon Verbena or Green Tea scent. GREAT lather, very moisturizing, and a HUGE bar will set you back about $3.00. I've tried a lot of soaps, and this is a great value--equal in my experience, with those sold by l'Occitane at a fraction of the price.

You can use Kirk's and Bronner's to make your own laundry detergent too.
