Yes, that 444 does it for me also, good stuff.
I'm an ASB and moisturizer junkie. My recs are below. They're all excellent... just depends what you're looking for. And all of them moisturize MUCH better than skin food, which I wouldn't even call a "moisturizer".

I've got some AoS Lemon After Shave Balm that does wonders for moisturizing my face. I don't use it after shaving because I've got naturally oily skin and it causes the balm to leave an oily sheen over my face. I mainly use it at night and then don't have to worry about using a moisturizer during the day.
I see Neutrogena Triple all the time at Target. I'll have to try it out.
It's one of my "last resorts"... rarely used, but it's always available unless I forget to toss it into the travel kit.
It's an SPF20 so a good touch to protect sunburn from more damage.
Kiehl's ASB works for my dry skin. Has a medicinal smell that dissipates quickly.

Musgo Real splash was very moisturizing for me. I haven't tried the balm, but would assume it is even more so.
Queen Charlotte Soaps aftershave balms are the best I have ever used.
After it dries down, I also put on Cerave daily moisturizer with SPF 30.

My vote is for Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap and skip the moisturizer! It is such a great winter shave soap the lanolin in it makes it unnecessary (for me at least) to skip an asb unless I just plain want one. I would say whatever you choose to keep in mind your soap/cream makes a big difference. Enjoy your shave!
I use an Aqua velva after shave splash after my cold rinse (after I shave) and then follow up with a good facial moisturizer. Why did I stop using ASB's? because I moisturize my entire face, not just my shaving area. I personally use Jack Black's daily moisturizer. At $40 for a bottle that lasts 14-16 months, I'm sold and feels great all year round. Mens Science also has a high rated facial moisturizer. as well as kiehls. I carry their facial fuel moisturizer in my car and love it. from the fridge, it does miracles.
