Benjamin Suits and ehaberdasher

Online suits. Risky business or a worth the extra effort?

I've been suit shopping and came across Benjamin Suits: http://www.benjaminclothing.com/sartorial.html The current offering of appears to be a traditional American suit, fully canvased and wool 140's material. $525

Does anyone have experience with ehaberdasher?

Well, I ordered two classico suits. I'll report in on how it works out.

They seem to have a positive following on style forum and Ben posts there.

Returns are no questions asked with a 15$ fee for mailing the suit fedex.

I'm in a rural area and simply don't have the resources many of you gents have. I needed something in a pinch also.

I buy almost exclusively online. Fast shipping and easy returns make it a no brainer. Sure there are lots of duds but every now and then you hit a home run.

Good luck!

Interested to hear how it turns out. I need a couple more suits and could use another option other than stalking Saks Off Fifth for a deal on something I like.

Or at least one suit....seeing they only carry a Benjamin gray and a Benjamin tux on the site in my size.

The suits came in. Both were too small by a full size. I taped out at a 39r in the chest and should have ordered the 40r. I am impressed by the quality of the suit. The fit is more modern than I expected (not zegna modern, but still classic). I like it. The shoulder is soft, the arm holes are high, and the fabric is good. It's a lot of suit for 525 clams. They included a fedex return label, so fedex came by to pick up the return and that could not be easier.

... essential for encouraging e-commerce for suits and such.

I'm bringing this thread back to life (hopefully)

I'm hoping there may be some additional insight on Benjamin suits now that the size issue was corrected and they have seen some use. I'm looking to buy a new suit for an upcoming wedding and a fully canvased suit at 525 is extremely appealing

I recently purchased a 41/42 L charcoal gray Benjamin Classico 2. Got it back from the tailor last week and have worn it once. It is a very nice looking and feeling suit. My previous suits were all baggier, and none had as nice a quality of cloth (including the ones I had made in Thailand); the tailor remarked on the quality. The material drapes very comfortably and the fit is definitely modern--though as a guy in his late 40s I don't feel out of place in it. One nice feature is the functional buttons.

As soon as I can save up I plan on getting another one.
