I've mostly shaved with some of the classics till now..tabac, haslinger, arko, some other italian stuff.. They all give a luxurious, slick, protective lather..
But there is something different about Wickham - It's lather is definitely not the best but I always get a "closer" shave with it ! I am talking about the results after just 1 or 2 casual passes (without shaving in 10 directions or any extra buffing). I've tried adding more water / less water / more product / preshave-oils / glycerine with the other soaps and they might give a more luxurious lather, but they also always leave behind more stubble than wickham.
A lot of the newer soaps are said to give a great lather but...do they also give you a "closer" shave ? Have you noticed this difference with any soap ? Please let me know !
