BBS everyday. Bad idea?

I love the feeling of completing a shave and going "Wow. That IS nice."
(This is the only place on earth I could feel comfortable saying that).

But does anyone think going BBS everyday is a bad thing? I haven't had any issues like rashes or irritations as a result of it.

No, in my case, it happens or it doesn't but I'm not getting any problems from it!

I tend to get BBS after three days of growth (Sunday shave). When I try to shave every other day I have to be content with a DFS or I will angry up my skin!

If your face lets you, then go for it. My face gets too raw if I shave BBS every day, so I can either have an okay shave daily or BBS shave every other day. I chose to shave (BBS) every other day.

It's a daily goal of mine. My face knows if it can't handle it. It's part of the fun, trying to achieve something but at the same time being bound by the limitations of what you can do that particular day.

My face lets me go BBS almost daily, there have been a few times my jawline has gotten sore so I just take the next day off.

I get daily 6-7 hour BBS shaves with 2.5 passes and zero problems. Lather was 99.9% of the answer for me and I think ten passes would not be problem. The reason I say that is because it takes about that many passes to get BBS under my chin! )

My guess is that lubrication from your soap, cream, oil or gel determines if your blade glides over skin and cuts hair or scrapes both skin and hair.

I notice the blades matter for this. Sharper may not be better in this case. I certainly would have irritation and skin problems with 7 o'clocks, but I do go BBS daily with Dorco ST-300's. YMMV. Also a rehydrating aftershave will help from any skin problems creeping up on you because of this.

With a good blade and the DE89L, I can go BBS every day without trouble. My last shave was about 21 hours ago, and I'm still fairly smooth. I'll clean it up again tonight with the DE89L and an Iridium.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'll keep it up. Just wanted to see if anyone weighed in with any quasi medical advice like "if you do that continuously, you'll wake up without a face one day" or some such.

I always pre wash with Zirh Clean and finish with Witch Hazel and Trumpers Skin Food. I think it's first rate for post shave. Love that stuff.

I laugh my *** off every time time I use the Witch Hazel. Who knew?

Often use a moisturizer and I've always had a pretty good face regimen. What I've learned in here has just magnified it.

Haven't found my "dream" cream or soap yet.

I try for bbs mon-thurs. Not every week, but occasionally i get start getting ingrowns thur or fri... So i grow it out for 3 days and restart. Love the sound of chopping down hairs.
