Hey fellas new to the world of safety razors, what brought me back was the great smell of bay rum at my grandfather's house as a boy. Unfortunately my skin is quite sensitive and heavy alcohol after shaves tend to do more harm then good. I was wondering if their are any bay rum aftershave balms or lotions? Thx

Gilbert Henry makes a bay rum balm. I think you can get a sample/travel size from their site. While it has alcohol, Krampert's Finest "stings" me the least of the BR lot I've used. There are various artisans who make balms as well, like Saint Charles Shave.
Is C.O. Bigelow's Bay Rum balm still in production? If so, it's pretty great (once you manage to get it out of the bottle!)
QCS makes a bay rum balm that's very good. A little goes a long way. Maybe a bit on the clovey side.

The Shave Den shop's Aftershave Milk is what you seek. Lots of scent options including bay rum.
I have not tried the Cayman balm from QCS but I can attest to the top tier quality of the balms as I have the Key Lime and Vostok and they are fantastic.
C.O Bigelow's 1401 Bay Rum Balm is great. It's a bit light on the Bay Rum scent but it is clean and refreshing.
You can get it out of the bottle by tapping the side of the bottle against the palm of your hand.
If you try to shake it vertically, a vacuum forms and it tough to get out.
Ogallala makes straight and several versions of Bay Rum Balm - I like their Sage & Cedar Bay Rum.
I'm still upset about Burt's Bees discontinuing their Bay Rum Balm. I used it for over 10 years and I haven't found anything that comes close - it had the best scent!
NOS Burt's Bees is about $40 for 4oz... if you can find any. If you are able to find some, don't hesitate to buy it!!!

I like St. John's Bay Rum Balm, but it can sting.
For you, I'd recommend going to www.emsplace.com and look for her aftershave soother and light moisture balm. It's available in bay rum, and I've never had a more soothing aftershave balm than this. It looks pricey, but the pump bottle gives you more than enough with one pump, and it lasts a long time.
