One thing on my list of things to do is to sit down in a barbers chair and have old time shave from an pro. I am wondering how many have done this and is it worth my time.

Well, my first straight razor shave was by a 74 year old barber. It only cost me $8 and we were such good friends that I would usually get the shave for free with my $10 haircut! Good luck finding a decent price for a shave these days. I recently looked into a place that does straight razor shaving and they wanted $26. Believe it or not, it was not an Art of Shaving barber shop. If I were going to do it for that much money, I would prbably go to an Art of Shaving location.
Either way, IMHO, it is worth every penny!
