Posted this over on The Score but no feedback on what it was so thought there might be some regulars here that can help. No markings on it anywhere or name. The case does not latch shut and so does not seem that it was used in a portable manner. Said to be from the 1930's - 1940's which seems accurate to me. I put a few of my accessories in there for scale.
Any ideas on what it was used for and by who? I've never seen one before. Took one look and really wanted it. Left it there and came back a week later. It was still there so it became mine. Any help would be appreciated. Note the mirror pivots into any position and is held there by the knurled knobs in the frame on either side of the mirror. When swung back vertical there is a spring loaded latch (seen in third pic) that secures the mirror from swinging.
