I searched the reviews, but didn't come up with anything. I guess they are a bit difficult to navigate from my phone, and not knowing the exact model number probably doesn't help either.... Anyway, I am considering one of these razors and just wanted to get some input. I usually shave with an old style Gillette if that helps As a base for comparison.
Bakelite Merkur. Any opinions?

Very, very light. A good close shave but very, very light. The blade has a big old bend in ti when fitted. Good for travel if weight is a problem. Get the case aswell/ And shop around for new. I've seen them as little as £15 all in.
I bought one for about $20. It is very light, good choice for light travel, but otherwise Meh. I'd rather have a Slim adjustable for about the same price.
The shave is a little more aggressive than my EJ89, and I like that a lot. Plus, it looks very cool. Having said that, it is too light for my taste; I'm actually on the lookout for a razor with the same shaving characteristics that has a little more heft.
