This is the continuing saga of my Omega Silvertip 618 brush. I have been concerned of late that this brush, which I spent over $60 US for, has been shedding at an accelerated rate. I got the brush through ebay a month ago from Poland so the language barrier does exist. It has been losing what I think is 7 or 8 hairs daily of late. I say "I think" because I suspect some of the hairs may have been hiding alongside the soap puck and re-emerge when I lather up the brush. This morning just for the heck of it I scraped around the soap puck with a tweezer and uncovered about 10 stray hairs. They could have been there for the last 2 weeks unbeknownst to me.
I just hope the shedding is coming to an end since I didn't see many new hairs on the top of the soap, mostly on the side. I did send an email to the ebay merchant in Poland but he said I should keep the brush so I really don't know if I have any recourse. I also emailed Omega in Italy and have not heard back in 4 days now.
I should mention that the brush itself is great and it lathers like crazy. I just don't want it to go bald on me.
