B&B 2010 le

HI all,

I havent found any discussion yet on this years B&B LE brush?

2010 is a nice round year so I am really hoping to hear this being discussed - "2010 A BRUSH ODYSSEY"

I hope the mods haven't been put off too much by all of the rigmarole they have had to go through with the 2009 LE.

What do you guys want to see?

Me?- I'de like to see something very luxurious - I'de also love to see the badger head logo appear alongside the year 2010 - and of course the manufacturers brand logo.

I have no knowledge of any plans for one at this point. The 09 is still being shipped as we speak. But... ya never know.

I vote for a 20mm mini-Chubby made with an extra stuffed knot of the Vie Long white Badger hair.

After any large merger/acquisition, Wall St. usually expects the buyer to work on integration and create synergies from the deal... Its typically frowned upon to fire up another acquisition soon after.

That being said, I got a Thater 4125 and Simsons B&B/WCS G3 on the way!

I'm really happy with the 2009 brush and don't think I could buy such a brush from any of the manufacturers today. Also not sure I have the patience for another long wait.

The only real discussion I can remember about the 2010 LE was from Joel (Starting with post #33) in this tread about it taking a new direction!

erm, yes but, with any new product there will be a period of R&D followed by manufacturing. Usually the this manufacturing will occur during the release of the current product. You think they started working on the iPhone 4 after they released the iPad? - Having said that the B&B brush is a labour of love not profit, nor are we talking about corporate takeovers.

Anyway, there is a great deal of work involved by the mods and a long gestation period with the brush.

I received my 2009 LE a few weeks ago and even though I have quite a few brushes the thought of a 2010 B&B LE has me wanting to revisit my SBAD

That said, it would not necessarily need to be better... Just different!

Baron, I need to stop hanging out with you and RayG; you are fueling my out of control SBAD. Just finished looking at and emailing Jim at Vintage about next purchases? The only differences are that you and RG know what you are doing.

I know what you mean, I feel like a sneak looking to cheat on my newly acquired LE09 - but, buying more stuff is serious and no cause for such mirth (joke) LOL

I like the idea of the badger head with 2010 on the handle. I really like the look of a depression in the bottom of the handle. Similar to the Semogue 2009 LE boar. Not that the handle would have to be wood though.

I remember that post, at the time I was thinking I have enough brushes but 2010 is a good number and I am looking forward to hearing of any new developments.

Nice! I was a little too late to the forum to get in on the '09 brush, but I will not miss the 2010 brush.

The direction so far, assuming we're sticking to brushes, is Luxury. Custom handles with a somewhat regal flair, high-end fill... granted, Joel was quite vague, but this could mean that it's a brush "for the masses". Then again, the B&BE was that... I give up.
