average lifetime of a brush

Hello to all

Just wanted to ask the following. Lets say you have 2 good quality brushes in your rotation (ie Vulfix, Rooney, Edwin Jagger etc) and you use them in a daily basis (1 different brush for each day).

For how long do you think the brushes are going to last? Im talking abt SC lathering in a bowl or face.

They can easily last for twenty or more years. I have restored brushes that were used for twenty years and longer on a daily basis, there was a lot of hair loss, but they did their job.

I believe that if you treat a brush right, and don't beat on it, it'll last a lifetime.

I used an inexpensive EverReady for 35 years before the bristles started to fall out. I ended up restoring it with a new knot and expect to get another few decades from it.

I do think having a couple brushes in rotation is a very good idea. With the 5or 6 I have restored or purchased I don't expect to wear one out in my lifetime again.

I have, and still use an Ever-Ready that I bought when I was in the Navy in 1977.

If you take care of your brush, keeping it clean and properly stored, it will last ten years or more.
I have a Pure badger brush with seven years still in excellent shape.

I'm sixty now... I figure I've got ten more years before I'm pushin' up daisies, or someone else has to shave my ugly mug, so I ain't worryin' about it!

Well I bought my Vulfix 1 month ago, I have an EJ on the way and I am 32...

If I do the maths, my children (if any), may see me ordering another brush
