Anyone have any experience with these badger brushes

I'm thinking about getting a few for Christmas gifts

i have seen where they are used as inexpensive donor knots

they are inexpensive, foreign made.....

just making sure they are not a total waste of money

I haven’t tried that one, but scored a nice one last year for $6.99 with a faux marble handle. I would probably stay away from wood handles.

ACE Shaving and Virginia Sheng do some really good badger knots at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately they're shipped from the Far East, so might not arrive in the US or Europe in time for Christmas.

Don't knock a cheap brush. I have used a $2 brush from a cheap shop for years and years. I really enjoyed it. When I went back to get another I realized that the brush came in the same packaging but the brush was smaller in size in every way. I still got one or three but it was not quite the same. They are my travel brushes now as if I leave one behind in won't bother me.
