I think I've got my den pretty well figured out, with the possible exception of my ASB. While I've got a couple of solid contenders, I'm not sure if I'm ready to settle on one of them or try a few more. Any suggestions?
My contenders are Clinique Post Shave and Gentleman's Refinery - The Standard. Clinique was my favorite of the two during the summer as it seemed to absorb faster and leave my skin feeling natural and smooth whereas the GR left a slightly sticky residue behind. Not enough to prevent its continued use, but enough to keep it out of the top spot. Well, now that the winds are picking up, the temperatures cooling down and the air's drying out, that last bit of GR residue is getting absorbed and my face is feeling soft and natural whereas I almost need a reapplication of Clinique midway through the day. Not sure if that's a change in my skin or a summer v winter thing.
I'm not looking for a splash. If I don't want a balm, I'll just end with Witch Hazel. I like light clean scents or unscented. I want something to moisturize and help my face heal (although I don't really suffer from nicks or razor burn). The only other ASB I've tried is CO Bigelow, which I didn't care for.
I've been considering trying Castle Forbes but haven't pulled the trigger. Anyone used Clinique, GR & CF and able to compare and contrast? Any other recommendations?
