That's really too bad. They took care of me in person a few years ago when I was visiting family. I've ordered my calendar/planer refills from them for years online. I hope it isn't so.

Famous for many things including the place where one of the funniest and most complex B&B pranks ever played took place.
Try calling them after 8:30 a.m. There website is down but the telephone is still functioning with a voice mail answer.
Actually the website name may have changed from artbrown.com to http://www.nycpensandpencilsstationery.com/

I just spoke with the store and they said "they" are closing. The mystery deepens.
Didn't Art have an exclusive Noodlers color? I think thats why the name rings a bell for me....
I hope that the store stays open, regardless of the name...I bought a custom 74 at the store not too long ago.
Yes, the permanent Manhattan series with the beautiful label -- I have the blue, a dark blue-black. Smells funny though, kinda fruity.

The rent was killing them - $50K a month – and that they just couldn't continue to pour money into the place. They are liquidating under Chapter 7 and then reviewing the situation.
