Aqua Velva: Ice, Ice, Baby

I've been using AV as a daily non-aftershave splash for a few weeks, and after a nicky shave this morning I decided to pull the trigger and try it as an aftershave. By Grabthar's hammer, what an experience! It didn't burn at all, other than the slight tingling of an aftershave doing its thing, but it cooled my face to Arctic temperatures! I honestly was not expecting an old-school aftershave splash to work so well and so painlessly!

I will definitely be putting this into my aftershave rotation.

Any others out there who regularly use AV?

It is on the shelf and gets used but since I do not have a "regular/favorite" aftershave it is used as frequently as all the rest

It's on the bottom shelf, back row, between the Barbasol and Pinaud Bay Rum. All you can see of it is the silver cap poking up behind the Clubman original scent aftershave.

Love that AV Ice Blue. I also love the similar ones i.e. SCS Blue Line, Master Ocean Blue. The scent variations are enough to make it interesting.

I'm not as fond of the AV Ice Sport or the AV Musk. They are great performers, but the scent is just not my cuppa. But, they are very popular around these parts.

I have been using Aqua Velva since I started shaving in 1973. It has always been part of the rotation.

Aqua Velva is the ONLY aftershave I use at the moment! Works great for me! I have Pinaud Clubman as well, but it just doesn't work as good as AV in my opinion, nor does it have the Arctic Freeze aspect!

Yep right now I go between the AV and Old Spice original. Would live to get some of the GFT Spanish Leather aftershave. Just don't love the price.

Aqua Velva Ice Blue is one of only two after shaves I use, the other being Barbasol Pacific Rush. I LOVE the menthol warmth/freeze of both and use both regularly.

AV is da bomb. I let it set for a few minutes and then follow up with Nivea Cooling ASB. Quite a combo.

Bigelow Black cologne has kind of a complimentary flavor with AV.
