Anyone try anniversary kake?

Just wondering if anyone has tried anniversary kake tobacco? I have 2 half gallon jars packed tight for aging and a pint jar for smoking. I just love the stuff. If you haven't tried it, I wholeheartedly suggest you try it!:001_tt1:

That's a lot of baccy you have put away there! I have about 8 oz of Anniversary Kake and I do like it. Not available in the UK but I've had some from 4noggins stashed away for a few years now and it's an excellent smoke. A lot of red Virginia which I like.

I posted this at one time in another online forum. This was the tobacco of the month there. It's really good, has a great taste. There is a site tobaccoreviews that has good descriptions.

Just got mine in the mail, gonna go try some now! I'll edit this post to give a first try impression, but I won't vote till later.

Well, first things first. Mine resembled loose ribbon cut tobacco. So I put about half a bowl in and could hardly get a draw. I looked further in the bag and in what I had packed and there was some "kake" in there. No big deal, I only ordered a few ounces.

Anyway, after I got it rubbed out and into the pipe (it packed amazingly well) it seems pretty good. It definitely has a bit of a spiciness to it, but not overwhelming, just an enjoyable amount. It's pretty smooth tasting overall. I did like the pouch aroma. It has a light taste like that. I didn't notice any chocolate at first, but when half to a third or a bowl was left I could taste the chocolate.

All in all, it left a good first impression. It seems like a well behaved blend, lighter, good tasting, a bit of spiciness with chocolate towards the end. As it sits now, I would recommend it, but will wait for a few more times to cast my vote

Another Post:
Well, I came back and voted this as highly recommended. I really like this blend. This was what I was looking for in pipe tobacco. I have to confess, I liked it so much I purchased three pounds! I am going to "cellar" about two and a half pounds of this, I have heard it gets better with age.

A few things to add:

This will NOT give tongue bite, I don't even know if it's possible, I tried!
This is the best packing pipe tobacco I have personally tried. Once you rub it out it is a very nice texture.
Leaves a nice taste after smoking, kind of like a sweet tea in a way, but not overpowering.
Good "room note".
EDIT: Lights good straight from the baggie, but a little drying time is okay too.
Oh, forgot to mention, this is my main tobacco now.
Also, if you can't taste the
chocolate, try smelling the bowl when it's burning, I can smell it pretty strong but the chocolate taste is light.
