I believe that after a year or so, we are all "Eric Claptons" and can lather any soap and get a good lather (just like Eric Clapton can play a $20 'made in the worst factory in the worst part of China' guitar and still make it sound great).
We all comment about water hardness, but I wonder if there is any issue with PH? I keep African Cichlids, so I know my water's PH is about 8.0. I have absolutely NO trouble lathering any soap with the exception of a crappy farmer's market soap. This includes the dreaded Williams. I've been using soap and a brush for 15 years.
So why is it that someone can say they can't lather Trumper, DR Harris, Cade, or any other quality soap? I don't think they're lying.... I just don't get it.
Maybe the secret is the PH?
