What's new

Anyone know how to get the old Dorco ST-301 (made in Korea)

Specifically I am looking for the ones that were made in Korea. From my research they moved their facility to Vietnam about ~5 years ago and the current blades are sharper now. Many people hate the old Korea ones but they work well for my face and are much more forgiving for me. Any advice on where to possibly purchase these would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a 10 blade pack from 2015 or 2016 that I detest sitting around somewhere. Also have a bunch of Stp-301 from the same time that I love but they have some quality control issues. I'm looking forward to trying the newer made in Vietnam stp blades soon.

I think they are pretty good for my face. I had a short one week review here: The 2024: 1-Blade, 1-Week, *Daily Shaving Adventure - https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/the-2024-1-blade-1-week-daily-shaving-adventure.647586/post-12537264

As for OP, I can't say what other qualities he might have appreciated from the Korean Dorcos. However if he wants a duller (not necessarily in a bad way, duller doesn't necessarily mean worse) blade than the current Dorcos, maybe look into some Chinese brands like PearlMax or Jifuli?

Send me a pm and I'll see if I can figure a way to get them to you if you want them.

The new ones (Vietnam) imo are good and near the top of my favorite blades to use list. However, I find the Vietnam Primes (STP-301) to be a bit smoother/better for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into both of those. I don't believe I've ever used a Chinese blade before. Mainly tried Russian, USA, Turkey, etc.
