Have any of you ever heard of or used a Suehiro 1500 grit hone? If so what are your thoughts on it?
Anyone ever used a Suehiro hone?

I've heard of the line and that they are very good hones. No personal experience.

Thanx Henry. It was a 3 hone set off of ebay that had 2 Norton hones, a 220/ 1000 and a 4k/8k Combo and the 3rd hone was a 1500 Suehiro. The Nortons were fairly new and the Suehiro had afew years on it but hardly used also. I have never heard of a Suehiro but i'm new so that isn't sayin a whole lot. Thanx again for the response.
I've got two: 6000 and 8000, 3x8". Nice, thick, solid (I think they could play with the Chosersas) and very pricey.

I have used the 1500 for both knife work and bevel setting on straights.
It is a good stone.
