Anyone else enjoy a Big Brush?

I tried a large brush---and really enjoy it. I went big and syntex---its great when I'm in the mood to really let the lather fly.

NOT saying a bigger brush is better (I like my medium boar and haven't tried a small brush like the Omega Bambino or the Wee Scott).

Just sayin'...its nice to paint my face with broad strokes from time to time.

Not many give love to Syntex...but I love painting my face with this thing!

I have been using a extra large, Edwin Jagger best badger for the past two years. It is part of my permanent rotation. Whenever I want more lather I use it. It makes enough lather for approx. five passes. It is overkill on most faces. I think it would provide enough lather, for the larger surface area, when shaving legs.

One of my larger brushes is the, paint brush style, Omega Professional, boar shaving brushes. Whenever I use it it does not feel that large. I face lather most of the time and it works great. It produces enough lather for a three or four pass shave.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "large" but I have a Chubby2 and a size 2 Rooney that I normally use on the weekends when I have a little more time to shave. They are both quite "luxurious" compared to the smaller brushes which I tend to use during the week.

Same as David here - my 'big' brushes are a Chubby 2 two band and a Rooney 1/2 in super. I enjoy them quite a bit, especially the CH2 which, although big, doesn't feel floppy.

My prefered knot size is around 24mm so if you class that as a big brush, then I definitely do. I've got a Shavemac 30mm which is a beast of a thing. I enjoy using it but I don't think it's a good everyday brush.

I like bigger than 22mm which seems to be pretty standard. 23mm might be a personal sweet spot, but 24-26mm find their way in a lot too. Like with boars I usually prefer to go big. Badgers are fine to get big but I want low lofts and hair that you can keep in control for the most part. My Chubby 2 in 2-band is my biggest at the moment that I really love, but I think I need to have a monster brush again just for that occasional all out luxuriousness shave and I imagine I'll add a Chubby 3 3-band eventually. :thumbup1:

Yes, I enjoy large brushes.

I made up a TGN 30 on a suitable handle. It is an amazing brush, but a little more than I want to deal with on a daily basis. I'm average size and average face and this thing could lather a giant.

All my brushes are big, I love them!

I have a 26mm Straightrazor designs #3, a 27mm omega 48 (boar), and a 30mm silvertip shavemac (quite a monster, but my favorite!)

I really like and prefer the very large brushes. Soft and lush, there's nothing that retains heat like a large brush. Simply wonderful.
