I have a bottle of nivea aftershave for sensitive skin and though I appreciate what it does for my skin, I have a hard time getting over the deodorant-y smell it leaves on my face all day. I've sort of realized that unless it's my cologne I don't want to be smelling it all day, so I was wondering if anybody knew of any good aftershaves that are just plain and unscented. With my impending move to the much drier climate of the continental US, I'm gonna need it.
Anybody know of any unscented aftershaves?

Unscented aftershave splashes (with alcohol) are pretty hard to find. But one alternative is witch hazel, which can come scented or unscented (there's a bit of the natural scent of the WH, but not much.)
If you look to aftershave balms and milks, you will do better. Mama Bear makes an unscented milk in thick 'winter' and thinner 'summer' versions. Others may do similar but I can't think of them just now.

I'm a balm sorta guy...never was a fan of splashes.
The Nivea one that comes in the white bottle that is for sensitive skin is pretty good. It has a light scent though but goes away after 10 mins or so. I think Art of Shaving makes an unscented balm, not a splash.
If you are looking for just unscented because of sensitive skin you might want to try a scented one with lavender. The Castle Forbes lavender is good on my skin which would be a mess without it. It has the same consistency as the Nivea.

Check out the online store. I believe there is a coupon code for 20% now. Type in "art of shaving" on google and it will pop up. It might cost 30 something dollars, but I bought their lavender balm in June 2009, and I still have half remaining. Their dispenser is very effective and you only need one, maybe 2 squirts, depending on how wet your face is, or time of year, when applying. Its moisturizing properties are superb.

When a product is listed as "unscented" it is being used a past tense verb, meaning "we did not scent this product." It will still smell like something. If you are worried about an AS interfering with your EDT, you could just get an AS scented with EO. The scent is natural and will dissipate quickly, thus not interfering with your EDT at all. AoS is an example of this.

Gentleman's Refinery aftershave balm is unscented. Reportedly one of the best aftershave balms on the planet. (Disclaimer: I've never tried it.)

Joanna at The Shave Den store also has a custom made unscented (select "Sensitive" under dropdown menu) splash (http://www.theshaveden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=75). You can also add menthol if you like. I've not tried it but have been very pleased with the performance of the scented splashes I've gotten from her.

I have...and it's true...one of the best aftershave balms out there. Moisturizing and doesn't leave a sticky or tacky feeling afterwards. It's pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Just try some witch hazel. The cheap drugstore stuff is unscented and works as well as the commercial aftershaves.
And the natural smell is gone within a second or two.
i have a bottle of nivea that was left in a hot bathroom. no more scent but the alcohol sensation is still some what there. so maybe steam a bottle of nivea balm.

I just posted an aftershave "recipe" on the other thread discussing scent-free aftershaves. There are details there. In short, you can mix witchhazel, aloe vera gel, and glycerin and make a nice, soothing aftershave that has virtually no scent (depending on your choice of witchhazels). I make it with mostly witchhazel and then add the aloe until I like the consistency of the mixture. I add just a little bit of glycerin, and I'm good to go.
This aftershave is dirt cheap, especially if you just use the witchhazel that is found at your local drugstore. It has a scent, but it fades away very quickly.
