What's new

Any Sneakerheads in here?

While i love a nice pair of dress shoes and i see a thread about that, how about sneakers? I'm kind of a new sneakerhead with only about 18 pairs of sneakers (mostly Jordans) i was wondering if any other people in here are addicted to the casual shoe game?

Just to be clear, are we talking about athletic shoes or casual shoes? I wouldn't be caught dead wearing my running shoes out and about (except running, of course!), nor would I wear my casual shoes to go running (unless I wanted to develop shin splints or knee injuries).

The reason I ask is that I am interested in a new pair of casual shoes. I have a brown pair of Asics Onitsuka Tigers and I'm a big fan, but I've been thinking of Keds or something similar. I tried low-top All Stars but my feet are too wide. All you see are laces.

He's talking about sneakers, they can be running shoes, basketball, crosstrainers, no cleats though. Basicaly an athletic shoe worn for comfort or style.

Yup, sorry i didn't answer this sooner. But apparently i'm the only sneakerhead here

I have 8 pairs of Adidas Gazelles in various colors, but am starting to move away from being a sneakerpimp to buying dress shoes.

I don't collect many sneakers, but I'm most often wearing some variety of tennis, running, or cross training shoes. I like mid/high-top Air Jordans for basketball, but don't wear them off the court.

Yea i have many addictions and styles. One day i'm wearing a nice pair of Ralph Lauren pant and shirt and dress shoes and the next i'm sporting shorts, tshirt and Jordans. I don't do the flat brim hat turned to the side. I have some standards. Some of these limited release Jordans are pretty expensive. To each his own i guess. Shave gear, clothes, shoes, weapons, tools....My addictions knows no bounds.

I am not a sneaker head per se, but I own my fair share. Most of mine are what I would call casual sneakers. I am a big fan of Puma's and PF Flyers.

I used to be when I worked for Nike, at one point I owned well over 30 pairs of Nikes!!
Over the years they've been worn out, damaged, or even stolen, and I'm now just down to a few of my collector Jordan's, I have a pair of VI's and a pair of VII's. A few of the newer Mowabb reissues and some odds and ends. Now I'm more into Red Wings.

Most of my collection are Jordans and Nike SB's i think my sneaker count is about 23 pairs right now and still growing  it's a fun addiction.

4 pairs of Chuck Taylors, 2 Pairs of Vans, 1 Pair of Etnies, 1 Pair of Simple, 1 Pair World Industries, 2 Pair Dr. Maertens, and my yard work New Balance....

I was in a Vans store the other day and must say they really grabbed my attention. I think those and some Supra's will be my next purchase.

The only sneakers I get excited about are my New Balance 993s which I only use for running. I like Keds.

I am not a sneakerhead in the sense of the collectors and custom sneaker guys. OTOH I am very opinionated and informed about tennis shoes (for playing tennis).

In that direction no one has topped the Nike Breathe Free 2 from > 10 years ago.
