What's new

Any care/curative suggestions for Allen Edmonds distressed leather?

Picked up a pair of used Kiowas, and the distressed leather looks to have been "un-distressed" in spots, for lack of a better term...either oiled, creamed, buffed, or something that has darkened areas and removed the suede-like nap that the shoe looks to have in the more undisturbed areas. Curious if a suede repair bar/scuffer would help here, or if I should just live with them as is...after all, they are distressed so it's not the end of the world, but I'd personally prefer that sueded nap over the alternative. Anyone tried this that could offer suggestions/tips?

TIA

Any pictures? I started to pick up a pair of those but could not find my size as they were being discontinued this past winter. I did notice a lot of variation between pairs, where some would look a lot more or less distressed than others. Maybe you got a less distressed pair?

Would also like to see some pictures for contrast to my Kiowas. Bought mine new in March, they've been worn about 60+ times.

If they fit you well I suspect you'll be very happy with them, perfect for business casual or dressing up casual a little. Very comfortable, attractive and they do great in less than perfect weather conditions or off road treking.
