So I've been more and more fascinated by the idea of using a straight lately and decided to browse around in some antique shops to see if I came across anything. I found one store with a pretty nice selection of straights and settled on this one for $60.
To my untrained eye it looks like it's in great shape, no spotting or nicks on the blade (in the picture there is some oil on the blade) and everything feels pretty solid. It seems from what I've read it's the best idea to have it professionally honed before I try it the first time. Should I look around for someone local or is there somewhere I can send it that people recommend?
