Announcing B&B's newest Club - Myrsol Aftershaves Devotees or MADMen

Welcome to the inaugural posting announcing the newest B&B club dedicated to devotees of all things Myrsol.

MADMen or, Myrsol Aftershave Devotees is open for all who collect, enjoy and frequently use Myrsol aftershaves and the balm known as "Emulsion". The club is dedicated to Myrsol founder, Mr. Miguel Ricou Sole who founded Myrsol in Barcelona Spain in the 1940's.

Members should be users of Myrsol products and would be willing to use the club acronym MADMen in their signature line. So, whether you love the Blue, Formula F Extra, Emulsion or all of the Myrsol products, please come and join us in celebrating the wonderful achievements of Mr. Sole.

All of those wonderful pictures depicting Myrsol being used during the SOTD and no replies? Okay, I'll start off by saying that I was originally not very fond of Emulsion. Until that is, I used some for a few days in a row. The scent takes a little getting used to but it really grows on you and the healing effects that it has on your skin makes it one of my favorites now.

Myrso is amazing stuff. I own the F/extra and the Antisol. The antisol works wonders as a pre shave and AS. I really enjoy the F/extra and think it has that old world barbershop scent. IMHO the only downside is the scent doesnt last very long, but some may like that. The bottles are so cool and look great on the shelf. I think next up will be the aqua di limon, but probably not until summertime. Any one tried the pink one???

Concur completely with your assessment of Formula F./Extra and I consider it a wonderful A/S for the cooler weather. Very warm and comforting and manly. I use that formula as well as Myrsol Blue and the Emulsion the most.

I just ordered and received 6 various 200ml bottles to try out,
Tried F extra this afternoon just to get an idea and really liked it, reminded me of a Floid amber or Vig,

Looking forward to trying the Blue next,

its very similar to the floids, but there is something else in it that the floids doesn't have. I've been trying to put my finger on it, but can't quite nail the scent down. Its a great healing AS and I only wish that smell lasted a bit longer.

I'm surprised that there wasn't already an unofficial Myrsol club! Thanks for joining, now we need some more folks to join the ranks. Surely there are more Myrsol devotees out there?

Here I am! Myrsol is King!

Gents, here my thoughts about Myrsol range of Aftershaves.

If you like peppermint, then go to Formula K. For summer. Probably is the strongest menthol of them, also with Agua de Limon.
If you like violet, then go to Formula C. Is delicious. I like it a lot, a lot.
If you like herbal scents, then go to Agua Balsamica (rosemary, lavander and thyme). Mediterranean countryside!!!
If you like old barbershop scents, then go to Antesol and Emulsion. Antesol is delicious. Emulsion is the brand flagship product. Both can be used as pre and post shave products.
If you like Floid, then go to F/EXTRA, a bit softer, but more classy. Excellent.
If you like Floid Blue or Aqua Velva, then go to Blue. It is better, more classy also.
If you lilke lemon, then go to Agua de Limon, but you must like lemon scent, certainly.
Plastic is a bit strange, in my oppinion. scent like Rose. Performs very well.
Metilsol is very similar to Agua Balsamica but with astringent effect.

To each his own friend. Myrsol performs so very well to alleviate many of the symptoms of shaving. Some things in life cannot be skimped on and are worth it.
