Awesome article Larry, first chance Ive had to actually sit down and read it. That was a great find, well done

Wanting for wisdom
I loved the part when Steven King talks about having written a book with the greatest ever word processor. Of course the article is making me want some personalized letter press stationery.

I don't agree with everything in the article (like using 120gr paper at minimum; what happened to the use of airmail paper?) but it contains great info. The best thing is that it draws attention to the importance of handwritten correspondence once more.

Thanks for sharing!

In general, I liked the article, but like Johan, I took exception to a few details. The statement "With a fountain pen in hand, it is important to buy the most expensive paper you can afford" is particularly misleading. Moleskine paper is expensive, but it generally sucks for fountain pens. Many 100% cotton "laid" papers are likewise expensive but not fountain pen friendly. Staples "Sustainable Earth" notebooks are inexpensive but are quite good performers with fountain pens. Even the super cheap Norcom composition books (the Brazilian ones) are serviceable.
