Amazon - EJ89 promotion price?

Hey Folks,

Long-time lurker on the forums. Was on amazon looking for a (another) new DE and thought i'd give the EJ89 a try. Added it to my cart and saw a ~$21 promotion applied, ended up getting the item for $13 shipped. YMMV but I thought I would share. Hopefully this is the appropriate thread for it

let me know if this works for any one else or if maybe some sort of targeted promotion. FYI, when I tried placing a second order for the same item the promotion no longer appeared.

Not that I needed another EJ DE89 as I already have one but I tried just to see for the hell of it and no deal for me. Ratcherd i believe you are the beneficiary of an error on their part that was corrected before anyone else got it after you. Congrats on buying that razor at the lowest price ever.

Wow, that is a heck of a deal. Thanks for sharing. There is actually an area of the forum to post threads like this. It's down in "The Marketplace" under "Shopping and Deals", but I didn't know it was even there for quite a while after I joined, so I'm sure it is fine here. If the Mods want it moved they will move it.

The EJ is a great razor. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the EJ over the Muhle R89. I thought the Muhle being German would have superior manufacturing, and it is indeed a well made razor. But the handles are terrible from a grip perspective and you get nearly the same quality razor in the EJ for half the price. + the EJ offers many more handle options.

I too tried to see if I would get that deal. Went all the way to the last screen before I had to hit submit order and I got no such discount. Maybe it was something to do with your Amazon account, or like was said above a happy accident that was quickly rectified.
