Aluminum Guerrilla

James has added an aluminum Guerrilla to his line up which includes stainless steel and bronze. This one is anodized black as well as a higher optional blade gap .99 . The razor weighs only 43 grams. It was also mentioned in updates for September that there will be more options going forward. At 175cad I am tempted.

Received today via UPS. Took only 5 days. This is the new aluminum version in black. It looks fantastic. Ordered the new .99 gap. Did a slight one pass to get the feel of the razor with a Lab Blue. Blade feel but butter smooth. Weighs only 43 grams. Tomorrow will do a full 2 pass.

@uptown you know which RazoRock you will hopefully compare with this one! ;)
Thanks for sharing, I always wanted a bit more oomph from the Game Changer, but perhaps not that perfect clones with 1.10 gap gave me the impression that aggression was upped massively with little gain in efficiency. So fingers crossed for the 1.05, this one is also worth consideration for sure!

Even though I have never had an aluminum razor that was able to maintain a place in my rotation, he’s got me thinking about this one!

@uptown can you compare it to any WR2 gaps?
Wow,I have had at least 6 Wolfman razors going back to a LASSC prototype (which I like an idiot sold) but I don't remember. What makes this Guerrilla spectacular is it's lightweight, smoothness and blade feel. I will compare it to the 1.05 Game Changer I will be getting in several days. Why I jumped at this was the Canadian dollar exchange rate. This razor sells for 175cad but even with PP exchange rate fee I paid only 135usd with UPS 5 day delivery included. The finish is great as James seems to outdo himself everytime. Back in 2016-17 I bought a SS Wolfman directly from James for 175usd. What a bargain.

You know, I'm not a big fan neither of Aluminum constructed razors. I only have 2 in my den and they shave quite well but, I just prefer a more substantial feeling tool in my hands while shaving.

That black anodized finish though got me, through & through. First Wolfman that I'll own (though I've tried a couple from shave forum members) plus, no wait time involved. Win, win....

So, this razor is made by Wolfman?

I am hoping for the Game Changer 1.05 to surprise positively. Mostly because it is made of SS/stainless steel. I also like titanium, but something about aluminum... it is not just the low weight, haptically it feels somehow wrong to me. Not sure what exactly rubs me the wrong way with aluminum razors. I also don't like Bakelite haptically.
