Alternative GSB

I am considering getting another 50 Gillette blades.

So which Gillette blade or blades should I buy.

I was just looking for a change but wanted to stay with Gillette

I haven't tried any other blades in the 7OC .

To cut this thread short I have ordered
10 x Perma Sharp
10 x Nacet
10 x Gillette Platinum
10 x Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge
10 x Gillette 7 o’clock Super Stainless

7 O'Clock SharpEdge (yellows) are a great blade. Very similar to the GSB in terms of performer and longevity. At least to me.

I hate to admit it because so many people in here absolutely love them, but it is the Nacets. I probably should retry them at some point.

Don't let the fact I don't appreciate them color your view, however. Blade preferences are funny things.

Thats OK when I tried them in other razors I wasn't over impressed, might be different in the 7OC and that I have hopefully got a better technique

Nacets, Permasharps and GSBs are my top 3 blades. I find the Nacets and Permasharps sharper than the GSBs but just as smooth.

GSBs are the best blades I've tried so far (about 110)x nothing topped it yet.

Rubies and Perma Sharps come close.

GSB are my fav
then treet dura sharp which is a dif blade but very comfy but a one and done blade
maybe the med prep for 3rd ?
then Green 7 OClock and Nacet come up and permasharp
but I am slowly using up the others and plan on mostly using the GSB as it took me a long time to find my fav blade
if I could only use two
GSB and then Treet Dura Sharp

I like Nacets and Gillette Platinums. The latter aren’t anywhere as sharp, but they are smooth and work well in any razor I’ve tried.

GSB's, Nacets and Perma-Sharps are the Grand Troika of Gillette DE blades. They are top tier.

Perma-Sharp (gold/red pack) would be a good choice. There's also the 7 O'clock Yellow blades, those are along the same lines, though not as sharp.

I consider Nacets slightly better than GSBs. Both are top tier!
