Alpa Windsor

Found this yesterday on the web. Having a small 50ml bottle of the Alpa 378 (which smells a lot like SIM) I thought I'd give this a go. Well less then 24hrs (17 to be exact) later it turned up at my door. It has a very sutle but great flowery smell but in a masculine way, and it also has a healthy menthol kick.

71% alcohol means it burns off very quick but a s I say it leaves this nice soft flowery smell.

I have the Apla 378, but have only used it a handful of times. It has not found a place in my regular rotation yet.

i have Alpa Lilly of the Vally, 378, a Clove one and a lemony one as well, i love all the Alpas, they never disappoint

For the money I think (IMHO) they do quite nicley. Oh and if you have the others you should give this a shot.

Just got a bottle of Alpa Windsor today and am looking forward to using it tomorrow. I too have 378 (good stuff), lily of the valley and clove. For the price, some of the best aftershaves on the market.

Just opened a bottle of Alpa Windsor and it's really nice but i don't notice any menthol in it. This is definetly going to stay on my rotation for a while.

Has anyone here tried Alpa's Windsor shaving cream, is it any good?

Yes !...The cream is first rate, and a wonderful compliment to the Aftershave....All the Alpa products are excellent, including the fougere aftershave/cologne ...Got my stash from http://www.pomadeshop.eu

If I can give you an advice, avoid usind Windsor shaving cream. It contains few chemicals that can be bad not only for your skin.
Eg. Diazolidinyl Urea - Carcinogenic
Iodopropynil Butylcarbamate - allergen
Boric Acid - can be considered dangerous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boric_acid)

This information is taken from czech forum (http://forum.britva.cz/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=1176&p=25943&hilit=windsor+krém+na+holení#p25943) so it's nothing I found out by myself, thanks goes user Wiking.

But all the other Alpa products, especially aftershaves, are high quality, very low price and I was quite impressed by it's price in foreign e-shops. In CZE the cost is about 3 dollars top for each. Same goes to czech razor blades. So if you are using Astra (whether it's blue or green), it's originally from the Czech Republic, later bought by Gillette and now manufactured in Russia. If you have any further questions, go ahead.

Take care :)

Has anyone used cologne version of Windsor, how does it compare to aftershave? Windsor is coming up to be one of my favourite aftershaves..
